Training & Development

DCR takes training and development very seriously, we have already taken on 11 young apprentices since our conception all of whom are still with us and at various stages in their early careers. All of our apprentices have been enrolled into college to complete an NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation. They will also be offered a wealth of other courses throughout their development to ensure they have the knowledge and training to achieve the high standards that we expect from all our employees.

Our Apprentices

Mark McElligott

Aged 24
Mark is in his final year at College and is extremely keen to keep learning, he has become a valued member of the team and has recently achieved a SSTS health & safety management qualification, we look forward to enhancing his skills further.

William Thorne

Aged 21
William was recruited via a local labour scheme set up by Higgins Construction, he showed great aptitude having no previous experience in electrical works, his good nature and willingness to learn will make him a great asset.

Lucas Comer

Aged 18
Lucas is the latest addition to the team and starts college in September, he is already developed during his first few months on site and we have high hopes for his future.

Sam Eden

We are also currently training another member of the team to become our in-house testing engineer; Sam already has a great knowledge of testing procedures and fault finding and he is now dedicating his evenings to become fully versed in the regulations and achieve his 2394 and 5 qualifications.
